As a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, James Jones has enjoyed some memorable moments on the playing field.
On Tuesday, he was excited to join teammates in a different kind of endeavor: building a playground addition for students at Nicolet Elementary School on Green Bay’s northeast side.
“It’s big to be able to come out here and put some smiles on kids’ faces,” Jones said.
He was joined by teammates Al Harris, T.J. Lang, Breno Giacomini and Evan Dietrich-Smith in the playground project, a partnership with Brown County United Way.
It was part of the NFL-United Way Hometown Huddle, a community outreach effort marking its 11th year in NFL communities throughout the country.
